A discussion on transition from fuel based economy to renewable energy by 2050

I think your investment in renewable energy should be proportionate to your contribution to carbon emissions. Fossil fuels contribute around 74 percent of carbon emissions and we need to reduce the carbon emission by 45 percent to maintain sustainable climate by 2030. It will take around 120 trillion dollars to replace dependence on fossil fuels completely from 2015 to 2050. At present the total investment in renewables is only 1.85 trillion dollars, so lot needs to be done. Transport and energy use in buildings , industry combined contributes around 58 percent to global warming. These are the three sectors which can be controlled by general public and industrialists So private investment is needed ( to manufacture renewable products and vehicles and to install solar plants and wind turbines ) and household investment is needed to buy electronic vehicles and install solar panels for which subsidies are granted by governments. Government will not be able to do on their own, they can just draft policies and assist you by providing subsidies( they don’t have enough funds to meet this target). Do your bit ✌🏻

P.S USA, china and EU together contribute more than 50 percent to world GDP and account for more than 50 percent of carbon emissions as well but the point is they have together only invested around 600 billion dollars in renewable energy out of total 1.85 trillion dollars in this energy transition.(they have done 100 billion green financing)In fact they should have done more in this cause being more financially stable and advantage of low population( taking into account combined population ,I know china still has the largest population and they also contributed around 15 percent to world GDP (although they contribute 28 percent in carbon emissions but that is understandable due to their population and similar is the case with India).china and India contribution is 18 percent to world GDP they should find ways to work together to at-least match their contribution to total population which is around 35 percent.

I think Africa should be target for china and India for agricultural investment for food security of all three regions.
